Why You Need Self Esteem
One common problem the society faces today is low self-esteem. There are days when looking in the mirror isn’t just worth it. There are also bad times when random strangers says something horrible (fat shames) about a picture you posted in a certain social media account. Days like these happen from time to time. The many pressures of living in the modern era are manifested to everyone and the age of social media adds something in the equation. Yet, there are some people who continue living with low self-esteem ingrained in them. Instead of getting on with life after a hurtful commentary, they stick on the negative side of the things being told about them. Later, every day will become a string of negative comments about everything they’re doing in their lives – from doing an activity to the people around them.
Self-hate is never a pretty thing, it’s a perilous thing. It not only ruins relationships with family and friends, but is also limits your potentiality. Confidence is one asset everyone should have in their lives, it’s one of the best clothing to wear. The job opportunities are open for anyone, confident people take on this challenge. In terms of relationships, confident people can adjust well to their partners.
For people with low self-esteem it’s a different story. They are likely to form bonds with an abusive person and stay in low income jobs. Indeed, the problem of having low self-esteem generates more problem. The life they’re living is not filled with happiness.
The reasons why people have low self-esteem varies. Traumatic experiences and inadequate love from people around you can lead to having low sefl-esteem. Instability in aspects in life can also lead to low self-esteem, and sometimes, it can even cause self-blame. Strengthening your self-esteem is one of the most efficient way to eliminate the bad vibes and self-destruction you feel around you. Learning how to love yourself to the fullest will help in making changes in the life.
Giving your Self-Esteem a Boost
Things just don’t happen overnight, it needs time and effort. You should start by analyzing yourself to see where the problem is settling in. Are your problems mostly about your body size and weight or is it about the way people comment things about you? Folks with low self-esteem are deemed to feel gratification from people around them. This is not good because the focus should be on the person’s wellness and health, and not on what other people are saying. If this seems to be like you, this is time for a change in your life.
You are a Person Worth Loving!
Start the day with deep breathes and channel the energy of being alive around you. Reflect on the idea of being alive and that you are amazing. Each time you are faced with negativity, think of something bright like the sun and flowers – change that view you have in your head. To wave off those bad vibes, walk some extra minutes after work hours. Everybody has bad days and sad moments, but it should not be the center of everything. Keep in mind that you are unique, someone loves you, and be kind to yourself – no one understand you the way you do.
